Professional Organization of Information and Network Technology

4th Annual African American Heritage Gala
The Office of Student Affairs will host the 4th Annual African American Heritage Gala at Murray State University.

Bull Blowout
The bi-annual Bull Blowout is coming to Murray on Friday, Feb. 19, and Saturday, Feb. 20. The action will take place in Murray State University’s William “Bill” Cherry Agricultural Exposition Center starting nightly at 8 p.m.

Paul Reed Smith honors his love of public radio with gift to MSU’s WKMS
Paducah native Paul Reed Smith’s interest in public radio and in honor of his education at St. Mary’s School System in Paducah, led him to donate a substantial gift to WKMS. His lifelong love of public radio and his strong belief in education caused him to pull those two loves together. WKMS is Murray State University's National Pubic Radio station.

First 2010 POINT meeting scheduled in Paducah, Feb. 9
John Truitt, president of Kalleo Technologies, will be the speaker at the first meeting of the year for POINT (Professional Organization of Information and Network). The meeting will be at 5:30-7:30 p.m. on Feb. 9 at Paducah’s Red Lobster, according to Loretta Daniel, director of the Regional Business and Innovation Center (RBIC) at Murray State University.


The Murray State News a winner; Kentucky Press Association awards
Student staff members of The Murray State News won 18 awards in the 2009 Kentucky Press Association (KPA) competition for college/university newspapers.

Weems scholarship established for CSET students
Murray State University (MSU) students in the college of science, engineering and technology will benefit greatly from the Thomas N. and Marjorie J. Weems Scholarship, recently established through a generous bequest gift from the late Dr. Thomas Weems and his late wife, Marjorie, both of New Mexico.
