Hold Thy Banner High: The Campaign for the Students of Murray State University has a goal of $60 million.  This campaign will allow the funding of exciting new programs and initiatives, but most importantly, nearly 50 percent of this campaign goal will go toward student academic scholarships and scholarships to assist with study abroad opportunities. The University has set these priorities:

Student Scholarships

Campaign goal:  $26.5 million.  For generations, Murray State University has embraced the goal of providing an education of the highest quality at a price affordable to our students.  Our continued success depends on an unrelenting commitment to cost control and on increased investment in scholarships.

Academic Excellence

Campaign goal:  $20 million.  As the University seeks to grow in excellence, private investment is critical.  At Murray State, every dollar of tuition, fees, and appropriations from the Commonwealth is budgeted to cover operational expenses- needs ranging from faculty salaries to utilities.  The support of our donors allows us to reach further, seizing new opportunities and supporting our students more effectively as they strive to achieve success.

Athletics

Campaign goal:  $4 million.  Racer athletics is a vital part of what makes Murray State University special.  The program stands for excellence.  It generates passion and pride that unite the entire University community.  And it serves as one of the most effective channels through which Murray State achieves national recognition.

Strategic Investments

Campaign goal:  $9.5 million.  The campaign offers donors the chance to have an impact on Murray State and those it serves through gifts at a range of sizes and for a variety of purposes.  Opportunities extend from leadership commitments in support of the College of Business and the Regional Special Events Center, to many smaller gifts key to a healthy Annual Fund.
